Why It Matters: There is nothing positive to say about this.  Just realize there are some really, really good people in the market looking for work.  Hire them as soon as you can afford to.

Need To Improve Your Accounting?  Paint The Room Red.

The News: The New York Times reports on a study that shows the color of the room people work in will affect their accuracy and creativity.  Full report.

Why It Matters: Save the money on the paint and instead change the color of your desktop wallpaper to improve your performance.

Jobless Claims Climb, But Productivity Increases

The News: Bloomberg reports on continual increasing jobless claims, but an increase in productivity. Full report.

Why It Matters: Productivity increases at face value is good, but it means that the people still employed are working harder and harder.

More TV = More Depression

The News: Popsci.com reports on a researchers discovery that the more TV teenagers watched, the greater the odds of them becoming depressed . Full report.

Why It Matters: The more Internet videos that teenagers watched, did not result in increased depression.  Thank God!

    Goes to show you that television is not good to watch, way too much negativity.
    Although the internet could be the same, but we have more variety and people usually chose what they want to see.
