Service
We provide everything women need to look fabulous and feel great naturally with our ever expanding of natural and organic products, available online or through our direct sales Girls Night In parties.
Startup Capital
$800 - purchase sample products from manufacturers for the initial product testing day with 30 guests, from that event I took a couple of orders, booked a Girls Night In and it all started from there.
College
Yes, but I dropped out...decided being an Economist didn't really suit my personality. Not enough opportunities to dress up.
Favorite Quote
"Be the change you want to see in the world" Ghandi
"Some people brighten a room by entering it, others by leaving it." Oscar Wilde
Biggest Complaint
Negative people who can't see the opportunity in a situation.
Go To Bed
10ish...a girl needs her beauty sleep!
Admire Most
3 people, my mum & dad (they instilled strong values & good manners) and Coco Chanel (brilliant business woman and so stylish)
Most Extreme
Resigned from my successful career in publishing telling everyone I was off to start a natural therapies clinic...12 months later I did it.
Biggest Accomplishment
Selling my first business and starting my next business with the same end in mind.
Biggest Mistake
Spending waaaay toooo much on my first website - it looked great but it did absolutely nothing of value!
It wasn't long after this mistake that I met Mike Michalowicz who encouraged me to develope my immutable laws and define my area of innovation. The first website was actually in direct conflict with everything I now do! It had style...but no substance (my first law is 'gotta have style & substance'), it was hard to navigate...my area of innovation is 'convenience'. There's nothing too convenient about a website with crappy navigation! Big fat costly mistake.
Living The Passion
YES! Growing a business that reflects my personal values.
The Lesson
I have 2 things I think are really important...
Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you in some way and learn from them.
Too much work and not enough play really does make you incredibly dull...both socially and creatively.
