For 2 years in college I was the lead singer of a rock band called Euriska.

I'm proudest of my staff -  We have an extreme training program, and I'm always impressed when I get to see them in action.

Biggest Mistake
Buying a yellow pages ad.  That was $8,000 down the drain...

The Lesson
Start small and keep it small.  I've started a few businesses and I've always found the most success comes from living within your means.  The internet makes it possible for you to act big without being big.

    Did you consider going with a smaller ad or line ad or changing the message or question associated with your ad?… I think YP ads are still very important because there are quite a lot of people who are seeking support for services that don’t have a computer or they find it too confusing. It is a great tool also reaching those in your local community (along with sending stories about your business to your community paper)…

    Hey Shonika,

    I think that I could have spent that $8,000 a lot more constructively on internet advertising or media networking. If you are running a small business, you have to make every dollar count double or triple! YP isn’t the place to make that happen anymore.
