    You are so right Mike.

    One of our key advisors, who has been there and done that (cover of Inc. magazine, raised $2.5 million, etc.) told us that we had to watch something to understand how to run our company.

    He promptly handed us ‘The Godfather’ parts 1 and 2.

    In my MBA program at University of Miami, one of my professors, Chester A. Schriesheim, is famous for teaching an entire course with the key reading material being ‘The Godfather’ – seriously.

    One last bit of advice to take from the ‘mob’ – You never air your dirty laundry in public. To outsiders, everything is rosy in the company, no matter how many heads are butting.

    I am embarrassed to say I only saw the Godfather for the first time about 2 years ago. It is an amazing series of movies. Lot’s of lessons to be learned in there. Plus the horse head scene is a must see in disgustingness.

    Thanks, brother. I love the idea of a virtual mob. That is really great. Funny thing, is I just spoke with billionaire (billionaire is emphasized with a grey-poupon accent, by the way) Bill Bartmann. I have to tell you he is the most genuine, kind, resourceful and helpful gentleman I think I have ever met. Wow! I want to be in his mob.

    Good people like him are successful. And because he is such a great person I want to do whatever I can to help his endeavors. And I want to join his mob!!!

    Either try to be funny (which your not) or try to educate people in business (which you can’t). Business is not done this way. You are a distraction to aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals. Serious, committed and professional entrepreneurs are the ones who get ahead.

    Wow that has a little bit of bite to it! I fully appreciate it might not be funny to you, or some (perhaps many) others. But it is my sense of humor. I think it’s funny. AND I think it is offering a message.

    I disagree with your sentence defining who gets ahead. I consider myself to be serious, committed and professional… I just deliver it in a different package. I am VERY serious about success and showing people how easy it is fo them to be successful. I am very committed… this is all I do (including right now at 11pm at night). I am professional. Not to be mixed with a stiff, but absolutely professional.

    And a final thought, it is not neccessary to put a sentence in challenging my “guts” to post comments like yours. Everyone is allowed their opinion, and I am sure others shares yours. So, please feel free to post as often as you wish… I will post it.
