Mike, another great question with some great responses!
One of the issues I face is finding the right software out there, and the other is dreaming that it exists.

#22 Tai Goodwin’s idea is my favorite by far, there are a few companies trying this, but it’s such a big idea and there’s so much to pull together for it, it’s pretty tough to do (37 signals,,,, I’m looking at you here #causeyou’reawesome).

#24 Kenny Jahng’s idea,, been hunting all over for that too. Hoping someone has an answer there, drives me NUTS!

#28 Boomerangit is halfway there, also on outlook there’s the check to see if read option (search it under help).

#34 So far my best answers Google reader, google alerts, and hootsuite. Use Hootsuite free for a bit, setup analytics, and then pay for it,, awesome!

#37 Scanning in documents to Evernote is a great option. It OCR’s everything and it’s all live searchable. It’s kind of mind numbing how much more amazing Evernote is than you can see at first glance.

#38 If you’re on a mobile smartphone, right now Square is pretty amazing, and the new Visa wallet stuff will be amazing when it drops (later this year).

    Cheers!

Some notes about a few things that’ll do just what you’re looking for.

#6 if you’re a gmail user or not, here are a few great starting places,
Gist, Rapportive, Boomerangit, and go into the new gmail features and turn them all on, there’s a bunch of magic hidden in there! Xobni is another one too, (works great with outlook).

    #9 Google latitude,, pure magic

#10 Dragon’s speech recognition app rocks, they also make a number of voice recognition apps for smartphones for voice entry on the go as well.

#12 Here’s the link to set up a shop on your facebook page

#14 Go check out Lastpass (also awesome for passwords, just make your master password really good!) It autofills and does all your passwords and is portable.

#15 Again gmail’s new priority tab can work wonders (gotta teach it a bit first) also, learning to use filters is magic.

#16 Still my biggest problem, I’m somewhere between evernote/google calendar/livescribe book/producteev at all times,, total mess. I’m in perfect agreement, the issue seems to be, tasks are different than events, are different that notes, and they all show up as the same thing and are treated the same way,, total mess.

#20 There are a bunch of browser plugins that do this, I’m on Chrome and, seriously, check out their plugins, you’ll be astounded, most ads are gone and the rest don’t autospawn.
