I love to talk WP Plugins!! I can discuss plugins aaaaaaaaaall day long! This list has brought about a few new ones that will be beneficial for me so that rocks!

It also confirms that All In One SEO is made of win.

I also recommend CommentLuv. Because as a blogger, it’s important to reward your commenters with a friendly link back to their website. =)

I also suggest the Plugin ‘Do Follow’. WP is automatically ‘no follow’ so making it ‘do follow’ will help a lot.

Thanks – what a great list! I have to agree as a commenter, I love the Commentluv plugin. It is valuable at finding new blogs and getting your own blog recognized! Rachel

What a fantastic list of WP Plugins! There’s a few that I haven’t seen before, and Ian’s post about the WP-DB-Backup plugin reminds me that I need to backup my site! Yikes!

Interesting how different blogging circles use totally different plugins. We used to use All-in-One-SEO until the Thesis Theme built it in and most of us use Thesis. The right caching plugin is essential.

Our favorite plugins aren’t even on your list: CommentLuv, KeywordLuv, DoFollow, GrowMap anti-spambot plugin, subscribe to comments, Simple Trackback Validator, and WP Optimizer all spring immediately to mind.

Details on most of those are in posts in my blog and I’m always happy to answer questions in the comments or sent to @GrowMap on Twitter.

I love all-in-one-SEO, but will check out the Thesis Theme now.

@Gail – That is a good point. Everyone has their own way of doing it.

wow, thanks Max Holloway of Wordtracker . I didn’t know about that plug in. I am definitely going to use that one.

The SEO plugins don’t do much in all honesty. WordPress takes care of the most the work for you. A good theme can definitely help too.

What’s important for businesses are the plugins that retain visitors and convert them to leads. This means providing the information they are looking for, when they want it.

Some plugins I would look in to:
    WordPress Portfolio Plugin
    Events Plugin
    WPTouch
    J Shortcodes
    and Subscribe to Comments

Good content + engagement will eventually bring you success. Keep up the great work.

Jon – Thanks very much for sharing that!

A great list of plugins, thank you for sharing!

DirectoryPress is great theme.  DP MAPS is great plugin to extend that theme: http://www.directorypressmaps.com

Nice list.  I recommend Plugin Organizer.  All plugins are loaded by default everytime, even if not needed in a particular page, post, or arbitrary url.  One example are contact forms. A contact form can be a burden on speed, so I have it in one page only, and block the contact form from loading in all other pages.  And so on with other plugins.

W3 Total Cache is also awesome, in combination with Better WordPress Minify.  Minify HTML and CSS under W3 Total Cache, and minify javascripts under Better WordPress Minify.  This avoids all javascript problems with W3 Total Cache and makes it work superbly.

Well, great plugins plays a major role in making our sites have more traffic and higher page rankings. Thanks for sharing with us these helpful plugins that we can choose from so we can improve our sites. I will check these sites eventually, “The Only Back You Need”, “Search Unleashed’, and  ”All in One SEO Plugins”.
