Great post Mike! Thanks for including me. I definitely agree with Seif-Eldeine – you MUST have an active social life. If you don’t, you’re posts/tweets/business will get stale and boring. Life doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Life happens outside the office!

How do I do #2 above? What steps are necessary to produce an automatic Twitter tweet with every blog post?

Mark, with my WP blog I use a plugin called Twitter Tools. I also suggest you look at a plugin called Tweet Old Post that will automatically Tweet out old blog posts as well.

I am new to blogging. What are the pros and cons of running a blog on multiple platforms? Have anyone of you experienced blogging on squidoo or viewpoints? Which platform is most popular? My webhost recommends and offers tools for using wordpress. Should I use WP? Your help is much appreciated.
