Meeting Don’t have to be a waste of time.
Great message regarding meetings about all “standing up.” That could be on the idea of all “Standing up ‘ for the cause of the meeting, Great stuff! Scott Gerber’s book sound interesting, I will be purchasing it at Amazon.
Shiela – Thanks. It is really surprising how much of a difference it makes to simply stand. I happy you like my boarding skills.
Cutting edge and fun as usual! You make my day Mike!
Robin – Thanks!!!! You just made my day.

Can’t beat boarding skillz like that!
@Frank – Pretty hot shit, huh?!?! It took me only one attempt!
I would have loved to try this when I had a corporate job that had 1 hour meeting EVERY DAY in which half the people fell asleep.
Oh it makes SUCH a difference to stand, you are so on the ball about that!! =) Great advice as always!
Great Video as usual! The camera angles and editing are superb! Love the ‘stand up’ meetings idea too. I just came across this new tool, good for group meetings on the go (actually just downloaded it yesterday) and loving it for small group text conferences and calls as well. Pretty cool and effective. Groupme.com
Happy Holidays to you and the family Mike!
@Adam – Good to hear from you brother. Let’s do something in the New Year.
Just got out of a 3 1/2 hr meeting and just spun wheels! Wish I saw this video earlier!
@Demetrius – I am getting sick just thinking about that meeting. 3.5 hours?!??!? WTF???
ROTFLMAF – Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off.
@Sheri – TYFTBOMH (thanking you from the bottom of my heart)
Great advice! Although, try to avoid meetings at all cost! By the way, is it me or is Mike losing his mind?! Just kidding.
Very nice Mike!
Great advice Mike! I can’t help but to smile from your kookiness… wish more people knew how to just lighten up and have fun!
@Reba – Thanks. I think most people believe I have a mental illness. In fact I am one of those “most people”.
ROFL the last scene is hilarious!!! Huddling and boarding would be cool…
@Ken – Thank you sir.
Mike, what’s great about your video is not only the no-bullshit penetrating insights, but the way you present it.
From having an official-sounding announcer introduce you, to the flashes of personality in your presentation, and especially the fun bit you always put in your videos at the end.
And of course, the iconic jingle at the end. Your videos definitely stand out from the herd.
Keep it up, you herd me!
@David – Holy crap…. flattery will get you every where. Thank you so much for saying that. Have a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!
OMG – yer best video!!!!
@Margo – Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
You got skills Dad! You crack me up too!
@Adelaide – I didn’t know you were my child.
Mike, I have had stand up meetings. And it hasn’t even been in a meetin or conference room since people have knee jerk reactions to pick up a white board marker and draw unintelligible buzzword filled diagrams or the instinct to pull a chair and sit down.
End of hallways are best. That way you are also incented not to talk too much since your group would be disturbing other office mates who are not in the stand up meeting but are working near the group.
Hey, you should have titled this post “Board Meetings” — nice boarding skills Mike!
@Kenny – That tip is FANTASTIC!!!! Thank you. Avoid the easy distractions like white boards… love it!!!
wicked deck skills!
@Annie – Thanks. Believe it or not, I nailed it on the first jump.l
For those of you who like the ‘standing up’ idea, I will share this more advanced technique…make anyone who rambles on or talks for more than 5 minutes stand on their left foot for the rest of the meeting.
I like the end of hallway idea!
@HJ – Now that sounds like punishment.
