Tattoo Advertising- Brands That Permanently Market On Your Body

Published by Mike Michalowicz (Google+)

Advertising keeps getting more creative as time goes by. A newer type of advertising includes tattooing companies logos on your body as permanent ads. Below are some of the tattoo advertising examples we came across. Enjoy!

1. From The Neck Up

The worst part about this gutsy tattoo is the fact that only one of those websites still exists.

2. Geeks "R" Us

This guy specializes in getting small, unknown businesses tattooed everywhere. Good thing it's only permanent for the rest of your life!

3. Intel 4 Life

This is one way to show your inner nerd. Just like Intel's jingle..."dumb dumb bum bum'.

4. Please Pass The Salt

Nothing like the Morton Salt girl on your arm to remind you "When it rains...go grab some salt!"

5. I Google Too Buddy

Not that the largest most visited internet powerhouse ever needs anymore publicity but what the hell.

6. Who's Hungry?

This is what happens when you combine massive amounts of alcohol, a dare and Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits .

7. Host This

The popular hosting service paid a young man $3000 for this permanent space on his neck. They planned a whole campaign on tattooing others with a budget and everything but chose not to go through with it due to legal reasons.

Oh Wendy,.

8. Apple Vs. PC

I can't say we are surprised, Apple has done a magnificent job building brand loyalty and created a lifestyle image. No wonder when you search for Apple tattoo's the numbers will topple Microsoft Tattoo's. Sorry Billy Boy.

9. Wally World Wackiness

A guy with a "tramp-stamp" is bad enough...but a Wal-Mart tramp-stamp? Seriously!? This is so sad.

9. Golden Forehead

GoldenPalace.com paid this woman for the real estate space on her forehead. This is a permanent tattoo, no joke, she sold it in 2005 for $10K. Just goes to show you, if you need money or need the advertising there is always someone out there.

Everything looks ok, the golden forehead is just a little weird..

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

@Wandalise – I can’t believe she put that on her forehead. Absolutely crazy. Of course is she got $10,000,000 for it, maybe she is the smart one.

      • needham oscar

hey mike you seem to be talking every one here. give a hint on where to get started.

        • Anonymous

Get started with where you are passionate. What can’t you stop doing? What gives you MORE energy as you do it? That thing, that place, is where you should get started… just starting doing it.

      • Skidoo_for_life

i got a famous stars and straps tattoo how would i get them to pay me for it?

        • Anonymous

I bet the gov’t would drop a cool billion for that.

  • http://www.identitymagazine.net Susan

I would totally sport a TPE tattoo!…Not sure where though… not my face! :)

  • Paul

How do we know this is real?

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

@Paul – The last one in the list was on many news sites, so it clearly seems legit. I think it is hard to believe, especially when you have a sound mind – but it really does look like people do this stuff.

I was wondering how much the others were paid… On the forehead is just crazy for both the advertiser and advertise-e!

  • http://www.haralee.com Haralee

I am all for advertising and branding but this is taking branding to a whole new level with some of these!

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

      @Haralee – I know… I know… I know.

  • Randy Martin

are we really surprised by this, it was just a matter of time, our society crave for attention. whats next? stay tune….

  • http://www.mom4life.com Heather Ledeboer

    Mike, $10,000,000 or 10K?

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

@Heather – She got paid $10K. I would do it for $10M, NOT for $10K.

I guess you didn’t get the one where this guy had a tatoo of his girlfriend on his leg from from waist up right around his knee. No big deal except that’s not all.

He decided her lady lumps needed implants so he had them put into the tatoo on his leg – they stick out about inch with cleavage too. Maybe if you google “breast implant tatoo” it will come up – try it and see.

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

      @Leah – Are…. you….. kiddin’…. me?!?!?!!? That is so freakin’ over the top. I can’t believe it!

  • http://armandomontelongo.com Morgan

I would not tattoo something on my forehead for ONLY 10k. Hah! Hm…the only way I would do this is if it were a company I liked and if they paid me in the millions. Because let’s think about it, it’s PERMANENT advertising, so they would need to pay appropriately. ;) Cool post!

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

      @Morgan – I am 100% with you.

  • http://www.geniusbusiness.com Bryant

I would totally pay someone to get a tattoo of my face on them!!!

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

@Bryant – LOL. I would pay to have my face tattooed on someone else’s face.

    • http://www.ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com Mike Michalowicz

@Michael – What!?!?! You would want to get a tat like that?!??! Or would you want to pay for someone else to get one of those tats?!?!

  • armywife

for 50% of my mortgage paid for life no matter if I sell my house and buy a new one, I’d get a company logo wrapped on my leg. And I have nice legs too, but 50% of a mortgage for life. Hell to the yes. but not for anything less. Like the women with the tat on her forehead? WTH was she thinking? oh yeah she wasn’t her brain was being too absorbed with ink…
