I believe that women entrepreneurs will succeed more in engaging people in the Social Web simply because their experience in giving T.L.C. to their peers come naturally – and people want that authenticity in social media channels these days. They will definitely rise up in building communities online.

I love this article, esp. the part about competing vs. collaborating. I think we realize there are a lot of customers, and helping each other is only going to make both of us stronger.

Melanie, to answer your question, those stats were taken from the Center for Women Business Research. Thanks for reminding me that I should state where we got those numbers.

As for “Queen B” as Alisa comments, yes, times have changed!! I do wonder, however, if women entrepreneurs are the ones who are living their dreams and therefore have more in them to give to others. Sometimes those managers just hate their jobs and are completely disconnected from their source. This makes one much less apt to be a generous spirit.

Go, ladies (and the men who share in our spirit, aka Mike)! See you at the Rock the World event. We have women flying in from all over the nation and we can’t wait to meet you all.
