Startup Cash
BB – All I had was $18.49 left to my name after the company I was working for went out of business. This was used to have free business cards shipped to me from VistaPrint.com and I purchased some nice letterhead-looking paper from Staples.
TME – I have not had any cash outlay thus far since the company is technology driven and all of the technology we are using is free.

Spaghetti with hamburger and sausage in red sauce

Hardest Laugh
When my four year old son, who was potty training at the time, peed on the floor of the post office. (I laughed about it after we high-tailed it out of there.)

Favorite Book
The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner is my favorite book of all time.

Footloose

Weirdest Thing
Kept two frog eyeballs in a small plastic box that I got from a grade school dissecting lab. I use to be a science geek!

Most Extreme
Went to a Red Sox game when I was eight months pregnant. It went into overtimeL

Biggest Accomplishment
Founding The Mom Entrepreneur

Biggest Mistake
Growing too fast and hiring inexperienced employees. I learned a lot from that experience and was able to turn the company around. They say you learn more from your mistakes…I sure did.

Living The Passion
Absolutely, I can pay the bills and have a flexible schedule that allows me quality time with my boys ages 8 and 4. I also get to work everyday with the most amazing mom entrepreneurs I have ever met.

The Lesson
It has to be about passion. If you can’t wake up each morning and say “I love being an entrepreneur and I love my life,” then go to work for someone else.
