Anyway, love the tip on the SEO, amazing. I almost did hire someone to coach me on this, but you just saved me big bucks. Thanks, Vera

There are many ways to get higher on Google, some are white hat (honest) and some are black hat (dishonest). Here are some whitehat methods.

1. Getting linked from a quality high traffic website will always help. Not only will the readers from the website come over but the search engines take inbound links into account when grading your site's rank. Be careful about link exchanges though as Google tends to look at this negatively as trying to game the system.

2. All of your page titles should contain specific keywords that your potential customer might be searching for. For example: 'How to Restring Your Ukulele'. You don't need to put your business name on that page because you don't want Google to index it again for your business title. Let Google index each page individually.

3. Another tip is using nofollow links to not important sections of your website like your terms of service page. This cuts down noise for the search engine.

4. Create an XML sitemap and submit it to be crawled.

5. Use Meta data like keywords and site description on specific pages to help your longtail search.

6. Use only valid xhtml and css markup for your website. NO TABLES. This is not a deal breaker but it does make it harder for search engines to crawl your site because your structure and content are mixed together. Using div based layouts seperate content and structure and helps Google identify the keywords on your site.

All this stuff sounds very technical but a very easy way to do all this is to use Wordpress as a content management system. WP is already pretty good for SEO but there is a plugin called 'all in one SEO' that can help you optimize your pages and posts.

Best of luck!
