@Janet – in regards to paid speaking (or story telling) events… it is considered a service business in the US. So, simply speak to an accountant on the best way to go about it to reduce your tax liability. In many cases it is done by forming an LLC, and having it bill the customer and having related expenses (travel, equipment, etc.) be tax deductible. But again… that is stuff that you need to talk with a professional about.

Great Tips…the real estate market is so vast and also so boomed with “training”. I’ve been speaking in various places in the SE USA but it’s coming from an active Realtor who is giving insight into her own world. It’s valuable and I’ll have to see how that translates into other countries! Hmmm, I wonder how this would pan out in a tropical spot?! (wink-wink)

I am currently doing some speaking in the US (I just found out today I’ll be speaking at a National Membership Organization Conference in August) and would love to speak internationally, and, of course expand the reach of my business internationally.
