The Worst That Can Happen: My worst fear was job loss. Pink slip in hand, I hopped on the social media train to engage with smart folks (like TPE) on popular internet sites. I focused on scouring the landscape to learn about startups and where my skills applied. To get on their radar & show that I was serious, pre-launch, I started a FB group where I listed 20 charities “I gave a poop about” & asked members of FB’s community to help divide $1,001 among them by voting for those they “gave a poop about.” I had a favorable 1st impression w/ each when I called to make/explain the donations. 8. Don’t Worry So Much

I discovered that once I started, great people have shown up at the right time to help me through the next stage, so funding them was not an all or nothing thing. My biggest fear was a financial loss and that was actually the outcome. Huh, you might say, that’s not very encouraging. Its better to have loved and lost then to not have loved at all. I think many entrepreneurs face fear everyday. Fear that their business will not succeed. But to succeed we must all believe, believe in ourselves and our idea. Worst case we’ll evolve or change the idea to get it to work.
Keep looking forward and you’ll keep moving forward.
Most of all keep your expenses down. Take advantage of all the free resources online and otherwise. These days you can build a website for free with Wordpress.

For me the worst that can happen is that I try and try but not actually get anywhere. It would be terrible to feel like I was a “failed entrepreneur” who never made it….
