How To Celebrate An Entrepreneurial Success

How To Become An Entrepreneur

1. Focus On The Less Fortunate

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: 1. Drink a lot and go to Vegas or go to Vegas and drink a lot. 2. Caviar on the way up, caviar on the way down. 3. Get a massage. 4. Go to a movie on a weekday. 5. Write a blog about your success. 6. Go to a networking meeting and share your success with others less fortunate. 7. Spend 2 hours at a homeless shelter and serve 100 meals.

2. Big Goals Deserve Big Rewards

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: For big goals, I recommend choosing something really awesome that you want like a trip, jewelry or spa day. Anything that is a big reward. Keep reminders of the big reward close at hand to keep you motivated. After you accomplish your big goal reward yourself by doing or buying the thing you wanted. Example: I picked out a ring at Tiffany's then kept the webpage saved and looked at it weekly. Once I achieved my big goal I bought the ring! Now I wear it as a reminder of what I can accomplish!

3. Sharing Success Is Sweeter!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: I have always found that 'sharing' success makes it even sweeter! My best experiences of celebrating successes have been taking a vacation to a great location (such as a high-end resort in the Caribbean or at Disney World) with my family and bringing another family (who we're really close with) as our guest. With this approach, we ensure that both the adults and the kids all have a great time, as we all share in celebrating the success together - which is what it's all about!

Thanks To: David Sears of YouFloral

4. Add Pizzazz To The Event

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: When trying to think of a way to celebrate success ensure that whatever you choose has an element to it that makes it special. If you are going to venue add a limo to the event. This adds excitement and separates it from the day to day. Not to mention, it alleviates corporate concerns of drinking and driving. It is great if you can match your event to your locale. Whether you live on water and take everyone out sailing, live in the mountains and go to a nice resort.

Thanks To: Judy Misbin-May of CFN Services

5. Take A Break!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: For my husband and myself, both of whom are entrepreneurs, we try to reward ourselves by taking a break from the businesses and the kids if possible. This usually involves finding someone to watch the kids and then going to a restaurant for a date-night of sorts. We each get so bogged down with our businesses and taking care of the kids (2 sets of twins!) that we sort of lose ourselves in the process.

6. Proclaim It From The Rooftops!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: When you have a success with your business (be it big or small), be sure to share it with others. It can be posted on Facebook or Twitter with an explanation of your success or it can be sent by email. It's great to have a "fan club" in place who cheer for you, whether that is family, friends, clients, or all inclusive. When you share positive events with others, it encourages them also. If you feel you don't want to "toot your own horn" write a humble disclaimer... and then proclaim it!

Thanks To: Janita Pavelka of New Song Piano Studio

7. Celebrate In The Moment

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Entrepreneurs should celebtate success in the moment, whenever success or awesome behavior happens. One way to do this is to stop and congradulate the individual for the success in front of the other employees. To make this praise really special, send a handwritten note home to the spouse telling of the success and how important the employee is to the overall success of the organization. Include a gift card to a restaurant for a nite out. For most employees, you'll have had them at the note

Thanks To: Chris Gattis of Blue Point Strategies, LLC

8. You've Done Well, Now Do More

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Give yourself an extra hour that week to do something experimental with your work - something you've been dying to test, try, etc. but haven't bumped it up on the priority list - you can afford to spend an hour that might not have a positive ROI just for the sake of experimentation + your own happiness

Thanks To: Danny Wong of Blank Label Custom Dress Shirts

9. Sweet Rewards!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Bring in a masseuse for the whole team!
"Treat' them with Godiva on V-Day, Easter, Halloween & birthday's.
Take an afternoon 'off' and kidnap the team. Check out the latest greatest flick at a theater near you.
Give weekend getaways to cool places.
Do gourmet lunches - IN-if possible.
Give tickets to theme parks tickets, plays, concerts.
Day trips - kayaking, hiking, biking

For me personally? I travel. Anywhere and everywhere! Third world and backpacking is my fave.

Thanks To: Lisa Brock of Brock Communications

10. Photos In Wal-mart

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: When I went to college, my Dad told me to take pictures of everything - my dorm room, the lady in the cafeteria, the roommate I hated etc. It was amazing advice and I've enjoyed looking back at the pics over the years! I am a film producer and just produced my first movie which is in major retailers now (Wal-Mart, Blockbuster, etc.) I plan to go around to all the retailers while the DVD is on the new release shelf and take my picture with the DVD in front of the retailer's sign.

Thanks To: Pamela Peacock of Shadowlight Pictures LLC

11. The Money Dance

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Every time I get a new sale, I stand up in the office and do a "money dance"! My personal version is a little shake of the hips and one fist in the air, but you can personalize it however you want. It is definitely silly, but serves as a good reminder to give myself a pat on the back for every small success.

Thanks To: Mel Marten of ClaroConnect.com

12. Just Two Little Words. . .

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: It's so simple. Just say "thank you". Publicly thank whoever played a part in your success. It could be a vendor, employee or customer. If you have a company newsletter (internal or external), write a short article about how the individual helped create the success. This will boost company morale, deepen client relationships and show that you are not afraid to share the spotlight.

Thanks To: Jill Valeri of Valeri Marketing Solutions

13. Take A Vacation!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: After my business reached it's first financial milestone, I took my family on a vacation! Sunny beaches, margaritas and white sandy beaches. In my opinion, there's no better way to celebrate entrepreneurial success than taking time away from the office and spending it with the people you love!

P.S. After that, we set up IRA's and college savings accounts;)

Thanks To: Debra Cohen of Home Remedies of NY, Inc.

14. Brag Brag Brag

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Tell the world, most importantly the media about your entrepreneurial success. Everyone, including the media loves good news, especially if it happens to a local person in their hometown. Celebrate your success by being on TV, the radio, in the newspaper. Scream to the world what you have accomplished, it feels exhilarating! Brag, brag and brag some more, it's the best celebration and it's free!

Thanks To: Lori Reader of Loveable Look-a-Like Dolls

15. Boast, Brag & Blow Your Horn

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Every Friday afternoon, set up a recurring meeting -- with yourself. Make it an ongoing date for self congratulations, creating uninterrupted time to tally everything you feel good about. Rather than waiting for a major win, log all the tasks that week that you took pride in -- large or small. This ongoing treat is a time you will look forward to, a way to boost your "employee morale" and give yourself credit, and I should add - an amazing way to start the weekend.

Thanks To: Selena Rezvani of NextGenWomen, LLC

16. The Fun Of Success!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Hold a "Virtual Celebration" telecall in which you and your clients have fun while networking amongst yourselves and finding out what you each have in common.

During the call, have a game of business-related twenty questions, or other fun game - winner gets a showcasing of their business on your website or blog, or free product, or admission to a paid teleconference, or other fun prize.

Customer appreciation is always important - best way to re-generate interest and stay successful.

Thanks To: Susan S. Bosco of Bosco Copywriting

17. Founder And Celebration Leader

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: As a newly launched business, early triumphs can be small, but significant to me. I celebrate by sharing the news with the people who have supported me. You are only as good as the people you associate with and sharing positive progress is that much sweeter with the people who have cared about you from the "sparse" beginnings. That's it..a phone call or e-mail...it's free but meaningful.

Just my thoughts, but this is definitely cheaper than blowing it on a new car!

Thanks To: Jamie Stern of www.AllergiesAndMe.com

18. Celebrate By Investing In You!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Entrepreneurs should celebrate themselves and the success of business by investing and re-investing in themselves and next level strategy. In other words, take the additional profit or marketing and branding success and use them to leverage your next power move. Examples would be hiring a high potential sales exec or buying market intelligence on your dream customer or engaging a consultant to develop your strategic and tactical plan for growth of the business and development of your talent.

Thanks To: John Haynes of Regeneration! Life & Biz Coaching

19. Don't Be Bashful - Promote

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Whether winning a prestigious award, being named to a board, showing an increase in sales or expanding a product line, all are worthy of promotion.

Market and promote your accomplishments and turn those small or big successes into
something much larger. Share the news. Alert your existing and potential clients, media (industry, local, etc.), suppliers, strategic partners, social media sites and professional associations. Let them promote your achievements, creating even more success

Thanks To: Greg Jenkins of Bravo Productions

20. Early Christmas...

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: It's about expression and not expense... So, whether you order an expensive bottle of champagne or cheap booze, go to an expensive restaurant or order a pizza takeout; make sure the ones who directly or indirectly contributed to the success feel appreciated and acknowledged...

Idea#1 Early Christmas: Surprise everyone and grab attention with a small get together event, key is to name it "Early Christmas"

Idea#2 Bowling: What better way to celebrate than relaxing with a beer and pizza.

Thanks To: Devesh Dwivedi of Entrepreneur In Making

21. Bathe With A Bordeaux

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: One of my favorite ways to reward myself and celebrate my successes is to bathe with a Bordeaux. Now you could bathe IN a Bordeaux but that might be a tad bit expensive and you'd smell like fondue.

How to do it? Grab a succulent glass of red wine, some lavender sea salts (I recommend the ones from Trader Joe's), and the most vacuous fashion magazine you can find. Then stretch out in your tub of steaming water and soak your stresses away as you celebrate your pure genius.

Thanks To: Dr. Barnsley Brown of Spirited Solutions

22. I Will Have A Margarita Please

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Share success with others....celebrate and acknowledge your accomplishment! Take some time to savor the win over a margarita at a fun place with your favorite colleagues. Talk about it, give the details - the good, the bad, the ugly - tell the story about how it happened-laugh, cry, dance- and walk out and be ready for the next big success.rnBe the example for your colleagues....and when they call to say they won a big deal or did something great....tell them you will meet them to CELEBRATE!:)

Thanks To: Debbie Mrazek of The Sales Company

23. Vegas Baby!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: In our highest gross income year, I flew all my top executives on an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas including lush accommodations, a private group dinner at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Cirque Du Soleil tickets and $500 cash to gamble and play! Since I couldn’t fly everyone to Vegas, I rewarded my additional 150+ staff a year-end bonus and company bowling night. Even though this was a hefty chunk out of my pocket, the rewards were definitely earned and in turn boosted production and moral

Thanks To: Joy Gendusa of PostcardMania

24. Reward Your Now & Future You

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: FOR A SMALL FAMILY OWNED - For each success calculate the actual PROFIT earned. Compute 10% of that amount. Use half the 10% amount or $100, whichever is less, and treat you, your family and employees to something special - even if it's just a box of donuts. Put the balance of the 10% in a "success account" and then use the INCOME earned by that account during the year for another something special for you and your family.

Thanks To: Ilene Davis of Financial Independence Services

25. Success Log

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Entrepreneurs have limited bandwidth to recognizing and celebrate success in their day to day business. Those “successes” are far more valuable then given credit for – they are the intrinsic value of the company. Successes can be shared when seeking funding, establishing partnerships, proving a track record, not to mention the morale building by saying “good job” to co-workers. I suggest a “Success Log” to capture, document and share success.

Thanks To: Jeffrey Weber of I.D.E.A. to Exit

26. Celebrate Your Health!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: One business success element we can't do without is our vitality. To celebrate making it to a signpost in one's biz plan or 120-day plan, take a luxurious Friday afternoon off for a long run, a walk with your dog or an afternoon at the spa to rejuvenate and re-energize for the next leg of the journey.

Thanks To: Denise Stillman of Clear Directions, LLC

27. Risk & Reward Redefined

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Push the envelop for your team. Do something that will be remembered for a lifetime. In the processes build the legend of your company. We celebrated a big project delivery by hiring the State Department Counter-Terrorist Driving Instructors at the track. We learned evasive tactics, J-Turns and bootlegs, ran the skid pad and ended with a real race. It's a memory we all cherish and it built up part of the legend that makes ODIN the best company in the world to work for!

Thanks To: Patrick Sweeney of ODIN - RFID Experts

28. The Slackline To Success

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: We put a slackline (tight rope) in our office as a reward for a significant milestone we reached. As a young startup, big fancy expensive dinners aren’t really in our budget (or our style) and “employee of the month” doesn’t work in a small company when everything is a true team effort. Startup life is thrilling, but it's a constant challenge, sort of like walking on a slackline. Being able to have a little fun at work is the best reward for success. (Photo: Daniella Reichstetter, CEO)

29. Someplace High N. California

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: I find so much inspiration and motivation every time I visit the wild areas on Northern California -- I try to find a big hill or small mountain somewhere near one of the thousands of gorgeous scenic areas, and then scamper on up. The combination of physical and mental/emotional stimulation gets the ideas flowing, and almost always leads to something breakthrough. You can't beat the mix of terrain, water, ocean, geology, and biology (and the food & wine once you get off the hill is good too!)

Thanks To: Randall Dean of The E-mail Sanity Expert

30. It's All About The Wine!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: When something special happens in my business (an anniversary, a large order), I will go down into the wine cellar (my basement LOL) and grab a special bottle of wine. I'll open something that I wouldn't normally open. Often it takes something special to get us to enjoy life while we're actually living. There's no reason to hold on to that bottle, so when I hit the ball out of the park, I enjoy a nice red wine and toast with my wife.

Thanks To: Chris Reimer of Rizzo Tees

31. Share With Others

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Success is best when it’s shared! Be it landing a large contract or receiving special recognition for community service, share accomplishments with those who helped and even those who did not. For example, host a toast at a restaurant. Use the toast to acknowledge the personal or professional accomplishments of each attendee. Distribute gifts, thank you notes or even bonuses.

Thanks To: Isha Edwards of EPiC Measures LLC

32. A Night Out With Your Team

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: I recommend you keep your company like a family, and have some type of team outing. Every time we hit a milestone or a key goal, we take our team bowling, go to an afternoon movie, or soak up a local concert as a team. These small rewards keep people excited, and let them you know you have hit another milestone on the way to getting your company on the map!

Thanks To: Ted Jenkin of oXYGen Financial

33. Get Known To Be In The Know

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Our company will write about our success if it is some media press in papers, or TV, or if we win an award via our FaceBook page, Twitter and our email list to our customers. Everyone likes a success and as a small company it makes our customers feel good that they are in the know!

Thanks To: Haralee Weintraub of Haralee.Com

34. Weekly Success Roundup

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: At the end of each week, allow yourself 10 minutes to roundup and reflect on your successes from the past 7 days. This can be done next to a candle of your favorite scent, while relaxing in a bubble bath, or (my personal favorite) over a glass of wine. Go through your calendar and pick out one success from each day of the week. Write these down in a success journal or just a piece of paper, and then call a friend to celebrate in each others' successes.

Thanks To: Stephanie Mansour of Step It Up with Steph

35. Use Your Flying Points

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Start using those miles that you have been saving up for months to take a flight to the Caribbean. Find a place to rent for a few weeks and make sure it has Internet so you don't fall too far behind on work.

Thanks To: Marc Anderson of TalktoCanada.com

36. Activities Vs. Acquisitions

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: I choose nurturing activities as rewards rather than making a special purchase. I have a rewards system. Smaller successes, like completing a PowerPoint presentation, get smaller rewards--scheduling a lunch with a friend upon completion. Bigger successes, like delivering the talk the PowerPoint was designed for (in front of thousands), deserve larger rewards--a massage or an afternoon off.

Thanks To: Jane Pollak of Jane Pollak

37. You Did It! Now Quit.

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Being an entrepreneur is a full-time job and then some. Celebrate success by giving yourself a break. You won't lose traction. In fact, you'll likely renew your enthusiasm for the work and return with fresh ideas. The break can be as little as a 15 minute walk around the block or as long as an extended vacation. Set a goal and give yourself a reward. Set 5 new appointments? Take the kids to the park for the afternoon. Land 2 new clients? Treat yourself to a weekend retreat with spa treatments!

Thanks To: Shelley Hunter of Gift Card Girlfriend

38. Invest In The 'me Fund!'

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Invest/reward yourself and things you want to do! That way you know where your money is going! Life is full of little victories and small rewards go a long way. A $250 increase in sales didn't seem like a lot until I chose to reward myself with $250 worth of music lessons (music is something I always wanted to learn). Crossing something off my life to do list gave me a sense of accomplishment, broadened my horizons, grew my community and led me to more leads etc; with the new people I met!

Thanks To: Sajeel Qureshi of Computan

39. Small And Often

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: After reaching small mile stones, such as adding 20 new mailing list names, reward yourself with a small item purchase from a favorite store. I personally allow myself a goodie from my favorite grocery store that has an amazing health and beauty section. Keeps me motivated and going to continue to achieve the small tasks that add up to big achievements.

Thanks To: Andrea Travillian of Smart Step, Inc

40. Celebrate By Giving Back!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: We celebrate success by giving back, and that makes us feel good! For example, one of our products was a huge success for us because it got a lot of press and was worn by celebrities. We gave back by donating a number of the cuffs to Dress For Success. The idea of women wearing this cuff on interviews made us feel like we were sharing our success with others! Celebrate YOUR biggest selling product by donating, too!

Thanks To: Nicole Carlotti of Rosena Sammi Jewelry

41. Scare Yourself!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Entrepreneurs get together with their colleagues once a quarter and list all of their successes on big easel paper for all to see. Too often, successes are so small, we don't acknowledge them, this way we can see how hard we worked and what we accomplished over the past quarter. When you are done – head out to an amusement park, a river rafting trip or an airplane jump. Do something you have been afraid to do and add another success!

Thanks To: Christine Giri of Time Tamer Consulting & Speaking

42. Do Something Nice For Yourself

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Whether it's an expensive name-brand suit; new big screen TV; or that shiny watch you've had your eye on forever, treat yourself to success by buying something you want, even if it's not practical.

Running a business is stressful enough. You need to reward yourself periodically to remind yourself why you're running your own show. Plus, you can make all your friends jealous with your new "stuff." Yes, it's shallow, but can be damn fun!

Thanks To: Shane Fischer of Shane E. Fischer, P.A.

43. Capture The Moment Forever

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: At a private dinner held in a local restaurant, with all the employees in attendance, the company's executive committee presented to the business owner a framed, original characterture of himself surrounded by drawings representing some of his accomplishments: the first client billboard he ever sold, industry awards and his passion for a favorite charity. A lasting momento celebrating 50 years in the industry for the owner as well as a thank you from employees for his dynamic leadership.

Thanks To: David Weaver of AdviCoach of Atlanta

44. Success Begets Success!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Best way for an Entrepreneur to celebrate his/her success is to use it to get more success. As a serial entrepreneur myself, I can say that most entrepreneurs do not put in enough effort into PR. Whenever you have any kind of success, small or BIG, talk about it. ALL THE TIME and to EVERYBODY! At Joe Green when we won a big contract we told everyone. So, blog about it, throw it on your website, create press releases and let all your CUSTOMERS know about! This leverage will ensure more success.

Thanks To: Mo Nariani of Joe Green Home Solutions Inc.

45. Each One Teach One

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Go back to a community school and teach kids how to become successful.

Thanks To: Derrick Hayes of WOE Enterprises

46. Honor Thy Family

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: We successful entrepreneurs almost always have a support group of family, friends and/or significant others who either give us the encouragement we need to succeed or, help create an environment where we can make mistakes and create successes. When I have a milestone to celebrate, I schedule a weekend trip with my wife to a nice hotel or B&B as a "thank you." I also leave the laptop and cell phone at home or turned off!

Thanks To: Tom Taormina of The Taormina Group, Inc.

47. Celebrate By Getting Help

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Time is money and money is time. Did you recently make a deal or land a client that will greatly increase your monthly cash flow? Help yourself by outsourcing something. Do you have dogs at home? Hire a pooper-scooper (the best $14 a week I spend). What about a landscaper to mow your lawn? Or what about hiring someone to clean your house every two weeks? Not only will you feel pampered by these services, but you have more time to focus on what makes you money, your business.

Thanks To: Megan Kline of Megan Kline Marketing

48. Short And Sweet Celebration

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: I manage a 4-person writing company. We celebrated success by taking the team out to dinner. Since we work staggered shifts, it was hard finding a time that didn't significantly cut into someone's hours. A quick smoothie break at the shift change point is a short break that everyone can enjoy. Besides the speed factor, it's healthy for our staff and our company bottom line.

Thanks To: Christina Zila of Textbroker International

49. Recognition And Dinner For Two

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Based on the level of achievement, give this person a gift certificate of dinner for two. This allows the person to tell his/her significant other that he/she received a prize at work, and allows their significant other to share in the success.

Working in an entrepreneurial venture often requires working long hours and occasional weekends. Having your employee’s significant other feel good about your company makes it easier for your employee to make this time commitment.

Thanks To: Eric Bloom of Manager Mechanics, LLC

50. Celebrate With Major Leaguers

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: I have come to enjoy watching baseball when I celebrate, because I take many strategies from the players. I've noticed how strategic the game is and how a player has to know what pitch is coming to be able to hit the ball. It's the same with business, you have to plan for your next move or else you strike out looking. The great thing about celebrating at a baseball game is having a couple beers, eat a fattening hot dog and enjoy the game with other fans.

Thanks To: Jennyvi Dizon of Jennyvi Dizon Couture

51. Yummy Dinner Celebrations

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Whatever the success, I usually take my family with me to a really nice dinner to celebrate and while we're eating we discuss what it is we're celebrating.

Thanks To: Amy Keimach of Border7 Design Studios

52. Take Time To Eat

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Entrepreneurs are typically already engaged in the next effort. Further, they are typically reluctant to shine a light on themselves. They should celebrate achievements based on their strategic plan, achieve a big step, have a big celebration with the whole organization. Achieve a more tactical success, celebrate with the team directly involved. Just one recommendation as a way to celebrate: free food at in-house party, with recognition to the people doing the work by the senior staff.

Thanks To: Edward Tierney of BlackDog Strategy & Brand

53. Make A Talk Date

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Don't keep your successes a secret. With each success, make a date to tell someone about it-a friend, your family, a mentor, an interested employee, your dog. Doing so will give you cause to realize progress made, validate each step in the process & rekindle your fire for continuing. Make the date fun and all about you and your guest. It can be dinner out, a walk on the beach, a shared spa treatment, anything that is at least a bit different from your normal routine.

Thanks To: Dennis Sullivan of Dog Bark Park

54. Live With Your Successes

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: When my husband Tim or I finsih a project or "land" a contract we celebrate by decorating our office with a momento of that project. One time we made custom mouse pads with a photo of a project and another time we bought a photo frame and loaded it with pictures that motivated us. It is important for us to physically see your accomplishments and remind ourselves of all that we have done. This really helps especially on the days that things are not going so well.

Thanks To: Christine Barnes of Barn Painting & Advertising, Inc

55. Celebrate Using The Media

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Entrepreneurs should celebrate their successes by telling the media about it! Dashing a quick (but professional) email to local editors is an effective way to spread the word. Additionally, if you get interviewed, then you have even more success to celebrate!

Thanks To: Andi Enns of AndiEnns.com

56. Celebrate With The World

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Celebrate your successes online via social media. There is a large small business community on Twitter & Facebook. This group of people is incredibly supportive. They have either been where you are or are there currently & they enjoy sending out congratulations messages and giving encouragement. Not only will your email be dinging & Tweetdeck chirping with positive news, your business will also receive more exposure. You may be able to develop new relationships & visits to your website may peak.

Thanks To: Alicia Arenas of Sanera, Small Business Coaching

57. Shout It From The Rooftops!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Don't be shy, let everyone you know, and don't know, about your successes.

Write a blog post, spread the word through social media and send the information to local business publications.

The more positive news you have out there the better. When something negative happens all of the good news about your company can help counteract the negative story. You will also have established relationships with key communicators out there when you need them.

Thanks To: Jennifer Rolwes Volk of Rangency

58. Reward Customers For Your Feat

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Your past and present customers are your most valuable conduit to new business. But do they know very much about your company? Show your value to your customers in a communication while motivating them to care about your message. Next time you reach a milestone, win an industry award, are recognized for helping the community, land an important account, crow about it to your customers and offer a discount on your product or service. Reputation management and marketing combined!

Thanks To: Suzanne Fulton of Soarings, LLC

59. When You Win So Do They

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Small business owners must celebrate every success they have in their businesses with staff, vendors and customers. The more often a small business owner shows appreciation to the members of the team that participate in the prosperity of the business the greater the motivation to create more. For example, run a monthly cocktail reception for clients to show appreciation for their business and to assist them in networking with each other. Include staff, vendors and prospects to attend. A win-win.

Thanks To: Vicki Donlan of VickiDonlan

60. Celebrate By Rewarding

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: Our company believes in celebrating its successes by having special events for our employees, who are responsible for our success. For example, our company is about to receive an award at a big black tie dinner. We are paying for any employee who wants to come, with a guest, at $150 a head. We are also renting a fun party bus to add a little fun time on the way to and from the event.

Thanks To: Michael Zwick of Assets International, LLC

61. Share Success With The World!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: There is good news for those of us who are reluctant to outwardly celebrate our successes - you may now share with the world in a giving way! I use Twitter to share what I learned, achieved, and provide tips for others to succeed - all without asking for anything. The Tweets also feed into Facebook helping to also increase my FB group. Only 20%of my tweets send readers to my website. This style creates credibility and my clientele increases thus creating further reason to celebrate!

Thanks To: Elinor Stutz of Smooth Sale, LLC

62. Create A Thankful Memento

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: It's easy to lose track of what you have accomplished and to let the joy fade. Over the years I've made it a practice to create mementos for my clients, colleagues, suppliers, and those who made contributions. Each time the person sees the memento, they can rejoice again. When I visit, I always find these mementos prominently displayed. Talking again about those successes comes naturally in the presence of the mementos. I find it's just as much fun to rejoice again each time.

Thanks To: Donald Mitchell of The 400 Year Project

63. It's Movie Night!

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: One of my favorite ways to celebrate successes is by taking the family out for a themed movie day!

We'll pick a movie that everyone wants to see, for example this week if we were celebrating it would probably be Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

We'll have a lunch either at home or at a restaurant that is "in theme" with the movie we're going to see. In the case of Alice in Wonderland, we might have an afternoon tea instead ;)

How Entrepreneurs Celebrate: The right way to celebrate and Entrepreneurial success is by inviting your entire network for a reception, or “garden party”, with canapé on cocktail sticks and champagne. The advantage is that you get to network with a lot of different people and hopefully you suddenly talk to a guy that can extend your business even further.
Another important part, is that you don’t just have these events once a year. Allow your self to celebrate your own success often.
